Looking for more recipes to cook in in your braiser? I’m going to start developing some all-new dishes. Help me choose where to start!
Every day, more and more readers pop by here to get recipes for the Le Creuset braiser. Welcome! I must admit, I’m fascinated by this wonderful pan myself.
So, on my recent trip to France, I brought home a bunch of French cookbooks and magazines, and I’m thinking of testing, adapting, and translating some of the braised dishes into English. Any thoughts on which recipe I should start with? Here are some options:
• Sausage and Rice Casserole (in a tomatoey-oniony-olive-oil-y mixture)
• Pork Ribs Diablo (in a mustardy-vinegar tomato sauce)
• Beer-Braised Beef with Horseradish Dumplings (I didn’t know the French did dumplings….but there they were!)
• Spiced Meatballs in Tomato Sauce with Eggs (we all know what great things the French do with eggs, right?
• Lamb Blade Steaks with Cassis Jam
• Poulet Forestiere (Braised Chicken and Mushrooms)
• Orange-Braised Pork Roast (a classic)
• Chicken with Moroccan Spices and Dried Fruits
UPDATE!!!! The Braiser Cookbook is Now Available.

Oh my they all sound wonderful! May I pick two? the Orange-Braised Pork Roast and the last one – Chicken with Moroccan Spices.
Every time I use my Le Creuset I tell my husband it’s still one of my all-time-favorite gifts 🙂
Hi, I’d have to say that my vote would be for the beer-braised beef with horseradish dumplings. I am a huge lover of dumplings, so while all the choices sound marvelous, this one slightly edges the others out for me. My second pick would be the Chicken with Moroccan Spices.
Sausages! Or the pork ribs dish. ….
I’m thinking of doing the Orange-Braised Pork Roast tonight or tomorrow….since I have a pork roast thawing in the fridge. I’ll work down the list. Others?
Pork ribs diablo.
I second Terry, though I might try it on chicken. I love Chicken Diablo.
